This year's election will
be the closest race for 20 years. We've already had months of
tetchy arguments about policy detail and dodgy statistics. The
economy obviously dominates debates, but as things hot up
unforseeable events with little bearing on the issues will grab the
headlines - maybe Michael Gove will punch an egg-throwing
heckler.
