Two of my favourite hymns unequivocally proclaim the importance
of ‘My Soul’. ‘Praise my soul the king of heaven’ runs the
first line of an older hymn. ‘Tell out my soul the greatness of the
Lord’ begins a more recent one. But what is my soul?
